With a little encouragement from the torch, a few tools, and my hands I takes plain, raw metal and work to fashion it into something modern yet timeless. Intrigued by shapes and patterns found in all of life, my design aesthetic reflects this perception. My jewelry often consists of a shape within a shape. This simplistic style lends itself to being versatile and wearable, while the distinct designs makes the work eye-catching and interesting and the collections cohesive and original.
Various techniques are utilized to create pieces with contrast, color and texture such as acids, extreme heat and hammering, but with the main emphasis on mixing metals like sterling silver, copper and brass. Cool silver gives the work class and combined with warm copper and golden brass adds interest and keeps it affordable without sacrificing quality.
Sometimes the metal calls for those special beauties, gemstones. A gift hidden in the dark, private womb of Mother Earth. Each with its own unique color and pattern just waiting for discovery and light to reveal its magnificence.
I currently live and create in Fernandina Beach, Florida, enjoy yoga, a good sense of humor and a dirty martini.
Show schedule for 2018 is in the works. Please check back.
